Ron..I remember all that food they gave us. I think you just answered some questions I've had for years.
I enjoy fishing,but I always throw them back. I never keep them. I don't mind fish, but I won't buy it,cook it and eat it myself. I never understood why I had no desire to eat it, unless someone else served it.
Cow Touge, asparagrus and instant potatoes, I've always hated.

They also served liver that was only cooked on the outside. :roll:
I drank some of the coffee, (although I was pretty young)
It was bitter and I was told about the salt peter,(it may have been you that told me) but I was also told that all hospitals served coffee with salt peter to avoid sex between the patients. :D

can you remember mike that some older kids had instant coffee and tang their parents brought them or they bought in the canteen
